This a concept video for a participatory installation called 'Human/"Human"'. It visualises interculturalism and community-cohesion (coined by Ted Cantle) by adopting abstract-expressionism to convey the uniqueness of every individual.
Participants in an area create a 'tile' to represent themselves amidst a larger 'mosaic'. Their tile is labelled by 'impressions' (statistics such as name, age and religion) but defined by 'expressions' (any self-defined value about oneself). While impressions are assigned to a person by external forces, expressions are decided by themselves. The mosaic visualises the beauty of both differences and similarities within a community.
