Our Crisis

The brief, written by Amnesty International (AI) for the D&AD New Blood awards, was to conceptualise an awareness-raising artefact targeted at young adults in the West, many of whom haven’t heard of AI. We were to explore the organisation’s new brand ethos of “Taking injustice personally”. I worked as part of a two-man team with Alfie Milar. We conducted heavy research before conceptualising a non-solutionist, reflective solution to the problem, explained in a concept video, before prototyping the web-app using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Prototype screenshot – collage page. This collage is dynamic and procedurally-generated. It is also an audiovisual experience. All of the media gathered by our algorithms is shown to be juxtaposed and scrambled with each other, censored, and mixed.
