A story about friendship and kindness
The Snail & the Woodlouse is Zaheda Mehrali's debut picture book for children. She needed a trailer communicating its story about friendship, kindness and perseverance in a child-friendly and enthusiastic tone.
The process began with storyboarding, scriptwriting and voice-over recording. We decided the trailer should tease the story by setting up it through animated vignettes using the vibrant illustrations created for the book.
After painting additional assets and doing the animation, I designed and mixed the soundtrack, resulting in a trailer that matches the delightful energy of the book.
