Early one morning my friend texted to say his neighbour’s rooster keeps waking him up too early. I regularly heard a rooster around the block too and wondered whether it was the same one.
Another day I was in a slumber and, as the rooster’s screams pinball-bounced around inner-city Birmingham, I dreamt vaguely of cows.
One of the cows crooned ‘cock-a-doodle-MOO’ and that’s when the Mooster was conceived.
